Chances are you just finished your blog and you're ready to share it with almost anyone you can. You are ready to know all the in's and out's to boost your blog traffic online.
I would consider myself a young blogger with only 1 year under my belt, however, I have been putting all the things to the test. One thing I am huge about doing is growing my following organically. Not paying for lists, subscribers, likes, or followers. But doing what you should be doing and putting in the work and watching your efforts rise naturally.
With that said, I have been able to grow my blog views from 1 – 3,000 in a few short months. Then 3,000 – 10,000+ in a few months after that. Now, my blogs are getting traffic anywhere from 50,000+ simply by sharing the content where it matters most.
There are so many amazing places online to plug into and share your content. It really does come down to where your demographic is located.
I am not going to share these types of blog posts in a medical forum hoping for results. It just won't happen.
So, where are some of the best go-to places to share your content to boost your blog traffic online?
1. Your Newsletter
If you've been blogging for a moment then you should know, building your email list is a definite goal. You should be spending time repurposing your content into a newsletter for your following. Send of all new content or weekly recaps to your subscribers each week, bi-weekly, or monthly.
One of the best things I did for my blog was to learn how to promote it on Pinterest. It took me a moment to figure it all out but once I did, it was well worth the time and effort I took to learn it. Pinterest is one of the hottest locations to get your posts seen.
3. Tailwind Tribes
I started using Tailwind as a way to mass-produce and schedule out my Pinterest content. Tailwind has not only helped me grow my following and viewability to over 50K+ in 3 short months, but it has allowed me to get other bloggers just like me to share my posts.
4. Facebook Groups
Facebook blogging groups are a great resource that you need to take advantage of if you want to expand your online circle and drive traffic to your blog posts.
Quora is a place to gain and share knowledge. It's a platform to ask questions and connect with people who contribute unique insights and quality answers. I personally go in and search niche interest topics and respond with my personal value and attach a link to my blog relating to the same value. THE KEY …. you have to use your words, you are not going to get anywhere if you just post your link. TALK to people!
Writing your blog and posting it on your site isn't going to get you the views you hope for. Be proactive and take the time to share your content to popular social outlets, groups, and forums to increase those eyeballs on each post.
Lastly, optimizing your blogs SEO is going to be the pro step you want to take next. You can use the free plugin Yoast to help with your SEO and to create a meta description and keyword for each post.
I personally use Google’s Keyword Planner to look up keywords that get a lot of traffic. SEO does take a while to start working and it definitely takes time.
An example of a keyword would be something like “how to increase Instagram follower traffic” With a quick search on Google’s free Keyword Planner I see that it gets about 3,000 or more searches a month, so it’s a pretty good keyword without high competition.
